Does Pentagram need any kind of introduction? Formed in 1971 in Washington, USA the band led by Bobby Liebling was one of the first to play what would be called Doom Metal, heavily influenced by Black Sabbath. Pentagram was very prolific in their early years releasing a good amount of demos and singles but their self entitled debut album only appeared in 1985! The band suffered from major line-up changes throughout the years and had more than thirty musicians around!!! Bobby Liebling was the only remaining member since the beginning. In 2011 they released their seventh album ‘Last Rites’ and now in 2013 we will have the pleasure of seeing them in the XVI edition of the SWR Barroselas Metalfest.
