Wacken Open Air Metal Battle Portugal 2011 aims for the presence of a national band on the W.E.T. stage of Wacken Open Air, wherein the international final of the contest takes place. After struggling with more than 20 bands from all over the world, the international winner reaps a worldwide label contract with Wacken Records and a variety of top-level endorsement deals with the main sponsors of the competition.

National bands may apply to the contest until 15 October 2010.
